Abdul-Shafi dropped by Zamalek

Egypt full-back Mohamed Abdul-Shafi has been omitted from Zamalek's squad for the Champions League game against Mazembe for unknown reasons.
As coach Jorvan Vieira prepares to make his debut on Sunday, the Brazilian dropped Abdul-Shafi from his 20-man squad for the decisive match.
Abdul-Shafi, who hasn't been training regularly in recent weeks, is believed to be one of several players unsettled due to unpaid dues; an increasingly alerting problem that hit Zamalek of late.
The 27-year-old also sat out the previous defeat at Mazembe, with Sabri Rahil looking set to deputize once again.
Zamalek need nothing less than a win in order to keep their slim chance of qualifying for the last four alive.
