International midfielder Mohamed Shawky will leave Ahli by mutual consent, the Egyptian champions said on Thursday. "Shawky submitted a transfer request and it was accepted," read a statement on the club's website. The 31-year-old Egyptian's request wasn't a surprise as he was unlikely to feature in Hossam Al-Badri's plans for the next season. Shawky has told the club that he doesn't mind a move out on loan for at least one season, leaving the door open to his return next summer. Seen as an integral part of Ahli's roaster since moving to Ahli in 2003, Shawky has won two African titles with Egypt. His most memorable goal for country came in the thrilling 4-3 defeat against Brazil in the 2009 Confederations Cup. Shawky's goal against Brazil
