Masri star midfielder Moemen Zakaria claims he has been approached by new Ahli boss Hossam Al-Badri, adding that he put all other options aside for the sake of re-joining his boyhood club. Zakaria, who scored two brilliant goals against Ahli in the calamitous 3-1 win that preceded the Port-Said disaster last February, is believed to a target for several Egyptian league clubs. “Coach Al-Badri's phone call made me delay all other talks with teams like Zamalek, Ismaili and ENPPI,” the 24-year-old told FilGoal.com. “Al-Badri told me that he wants me in his team and I really hope to join Ahli again even if on loan.” Despite the severe tension sparked by the Port-Said disaster, Masri chairman Kamel Abou-Ali revealed recently that he would welcome talks with Ahli over the transfer of one of his club's players to Cairo. Zakaria, along with playmaker Mahmoud Abdul-Hakim and goalkeeping wonderkid Ahmed Al-Shennawi, is strongly poised to leave the beleaguered Masri this summer. Foreign duo Eliassou Issiaka and Abdoulaye Cisse have already left for Smouha and Zamalek respectively.
