Football legend Diego Maradona said the deadly events that rocked Egypt recently are a disgrace for the beautiful game. More than 73 supporters were killed in last week's league game between Masri and Ahli, in a disaster that sparked widespread grief among the football world. “Football is supposed to be a means of connecting people, not the opposite,” Maradona, the current coach UAE's Al-Wasl, was quoted as saying by Emirate Media. “What happened in Egypt is a disgrace for football. “Of course I am offering my condolences to the families of the victims.”
