Zamalek are in advanced talks with Esperance over signing Tunisia international duo Mejdi Traoui and Walid Hichri, according to agent Mounir Hassan. “There is mutual interest and the players have agreed terms with Zamalek, but it remains to be seen what the demands of Esperance are,” he told FilGoal.com. Traoui, 28, is an established Tunisia midfielder who has been a senior international since 2004. Hichri, on the other hand, is a 25-year-old center-half who can also play as a right-back. The pair led Esperance to the CAF Champions League title last year and was part of the Tunisian champions squad in the Club World Cup in Japan. Zamalek already have two foreigners in striker Razak Omotoyossi and defender Karimu Alhassan as three overseas players are allowed for registration.
