Hussein Hamdi has joined the unhappy list of Zamalek players as he requests to return to MCDR, less than four months after moving to the Whites. The 26-year-old striker is the third Zamalek player in just three days to voice his dismay as Hazem Emam and Alaa Ali have both expressed their willingness to leave the club. While Emam has threated to rescind his contract over unpaid wages and Ali is unhappy for lack of first-team football, Hamdi is struggling to settle at the Cairo club. “I have talked to the management and informed them about my desire to leave for many reasons,” Hamdi, who scored on his league debut against Ghazl Mahalla, told FilGoal.com. “I couldn't adapt with the team, either psychologically or technically, and I simply don't want to stay as long as I feel that I cannot add something to the team and vice-versa. “There is no doubt about the capability of coach Hassan Shehata, but his style of play doesn't suit me. “Also I feel psychologically unsettled for many reasons, mainly because I haven't been paid for months. “I love Zamalek and if I'm going to leave, I wish I could re-join MCDR which is the club where I had shone in the first place.”
