Zamalek midfielder Alaa Ali became the second player to demand departure from the club in the space of two days after right back Hazem Emam threatened to rescind his contract. Ali, 23, is unsatisfied with his current status as a fringe player and intends to part company with his boyhood club in the upcoming January transfer window as he seeks regular first-team football. “I want to part ways with Zamalek, the manager always snubs me and it seems unlikely for me to feature anytime soon,” Ali told FilGoal.com. “It's a final decision; I won't backtrack on it as I've endured enough. “Coach Hassan Shehata fielded me late against ENPPI in the cup final despite not partaking in previous matches, consequently, I undeservedly shouldered the defeat.” Zamalek manager Shehata was widely criticized for using Ali as a second half substitute in the Whites' 2-1 cup-final defeat to ENPPI, with the left-footed midfielder hardly making an impact in the game. “Several offers will reach the club in the next few days, I hope they would let me go as long as I don't receive a genuine chance in Zamalek,” Ali added. Ali emerged as a promising Zamalek youngster in 2007, but has struggled to become a first-team regular ever since.
