In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said the president's directive reflects his appreciation for the sacrifices of Egypt's diplomats, who serve the nation "with honour and dedication across the world." Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty said the move demonstrates the president's continued commitment to recognising the devotion of those who represent Egypt abroad, calling it "a noble gesture that embodies the state's enduring loyalty to its fallen heroes." He added that the decision extends the government's long-standing policy of honouring the families of Egypt's martyrs from the armed forces, police, and other national institutions. The ministry reaffirmed that its staff, both in Egypt and overseas, remain committed to serving the nation and upholding its interests "with utmost dedication and sacrifice."
