Zamalek's Ivorian striker Abou Kone has been ruled out of Saturday's Egyptian Premier League game against promoted MCDR due to a shoulder injury. The club said Kone was not included in the team's 20-man squad for the game after sustaining the injury during Thursday's training session. "The player will undergo scans today to determine the extent of the injury and how long he would be out of action," Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri told FilGoal.com. Kone joined Zamalek from Military Production in the close season but is yet to live up to expectations. The 28-year-old, who usually partners Amr Zaki upfront, scored one goal in five league appearances with Zamalek. Wing-back Hazem Emam has returned to Zamalek's fold after making a U-turn on his decision to leave the club due to lack of first-team opportunities. Zamalek lie third in the league table with 11 points, one behind leaders Police Union. The Cairo giants are aiming to win the premier domestic competition for the first time since 2004.
