Zamalek chairman Galal Ibrahim turned down Lierse's bid to reach a friendly settlement over the controversial transfer of forward Hussein Yasser to the Belgian side. Qatar forward Yasser unilaterally rescinded his deal with Zamalek to join Egyptian-owned outfit Lierse in August, banking on the Cairo club's failure to pay his dues. Lierse's Egyptian chief Maged Sami offered a €50,000 compensation to Zamalek in an attempt to appease the Whites so that they withdraw the complaint they filed against Yasser to world governing body FIFA few weeks ago. “Sami's offer proves their weak stance in the case, we will not relinquish our rights in the player,” Ibrahim told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. “We will not negotiate with Lierse to back down on our complaint, our stance is quite clear. “It is quite normal to see FIFA send a temporary International transfer certificate for Yasser; it does not mean that we are the losing party. “Essam Al-Hadari was given a temporary ITC when he moved from Ahli to (Swiss side) Sion before eventually being adjudged guilty by FIFA.” Egypt keeper Al-Hadari was at the center of a similar transfer saga in 2008, which saw him abrogate his contract with Ahli to join Sion without his then-club's consent, before being eventually sanctioned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
