Belgian club Lierse have announced the signing of Qatar forward Hussein Yasser from Zamalek as the Cairo club refuse to approve the transfer. Yasser, who has a contract until 2014 with Zamalek, decided to make the move in the wake of his complaint to the FA against the club over unpaid dues estimated to be around EGP 500,000. Lierse said on their website that they are ready to take the case to FIFA in order to have the 29-year-old available for selection as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Zamalek marketing director Ashraf Sobhi seemed confident that the skillful forward cannot move without the club's consent. “Yasser is tied with Zamalek until 2014 and he received his wages in full via the Egyptian FA,” Sobhi told FilGoal.com. “No player has the right to rescind his contract after filing a complaint and the FA has not informed us that the contract is not valid.” Yasser, who has a Belgian passport, was a key player for Zamalek under Hossam Hassan last term despite having some disciplinary problems with the previous management. He played for Royal Antwerp nine seasons ago before having a number of spells with European clubs including Manchester City, Sporting Braga and Boavista.
