The Egyptian FA has rejected a request from Belgian side Lierse to complete the registration of Zamalek forward Hussein Yasser, the Cairo club said. The Qatari international signed for Lierse without Zamalek's consent last week, banking on the Cairo club's failure to pay his wages. Zamalek said on Tuesday that the 29-year-old will be back by the end of the week, only for Lierse to demand his International Transfer Certificate (ITC). “The Egyptian FA has rejected a request from their Belgian counterparts to send the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) of Hussein Yasser in order to have him available for selection,” a statement on Zamalek's website read. “The decision came because the player is still under contract with Zamalek, has received his late wages in full and the club is determined not to give on its right in the player.” Yasser has a deal until 2014 with Zamalek, who promised to offer him an improved contract this summer.
