Zamalek claim that Hussein Yasser will return to the team's training by the end of the week, even though Belgian side Lierse announced signing the Qatar forward a few days ago. Yasser, who - according to Lierse - signed for them without Zamalek's consent, has been absent from training since the team had started pre-season last week as his exit seems all the more likely. However, the Cairo club said on their website that the 29-year-old has ‘apologized to one of the board members, asking for more time to sort out personal issues'. The statement also added that Yasser promised to be back before the end of the week, stressing that his request has been accepted. Finally, Zamalek warned Yasser that the club will ‘follow legal procedures in order to preserve their rights', should he fails to show up on time. It is thought that the Egyptian-born forward is looking for a way out of Cairo due to the club's failure to pay him his wages in full. During the past season, Yasser repeatedly asked for an improved contract but his wish was never granted amid the club's financial crisis. It remains to be seen whether he will return to the Whites or move to Lierse, who vowed to call FIFA in order to have him available as soon as possible.
