Zamalek wing-back Hazem Emam has joined Ittihad of Alexandria on a one-season loan deal. “My deal is worth EGP 1million and Zamalek shall receive EGP 400,000,” Emam told FilGoal.com. “Joining Ittihad is a chance for me to prove my worth of a first-team place at Zamalek.” Emam, who has a contract until 2014 with Zamalek, has been playing week-in week-out for the Cairo side during the past couple of seasons. He emerged as a hot prospect for the future three seasons ago thanks to his blistering pace, but his progress has been repeatedly hindered by a series of off-the-field controversies. Meanwhile, Ittihad, who have been relegated for the Premier League, are on their way to loan playmaker Afrotto from Ahli. The Alexandrians are also set to renew the loan deal of Ahli forward Hani Al-Egeizi for another season.
