Masri full-back Ahmed Shedid says he has re-joined former Ahli club after activating a clause in his contract, while the Port-Said club have yet to approve the transfer. “I signed a four-year contract with Ahli and I will be ready for training on Thursday,” the 25-year-old told FilGoal.com. Ahli are believed to have paid Masri an EGP 1.5million minimum-fee-release clause in Shedid's contract to reacquire the services of their former youngster. However, Masri chairman Kamel Abou-Ali insists that activating the clause is only applicable next summer; one year before the end of the contract. Abou-Ali, who announced that he will not sell his star defender for less than EGP 5.5million, warned Ahli not to register Shedid as he vowed to take the case to FIFA. Ahli's interest in Shedid came as a surprise to many, given that manager Manuel Jose was the one who ditched the diminutive full-back three seasons ago.
