Masri will only let Ahmed Shedid re-join Ahli if the Cairo club paid EGP 5.5million for the services of their former full-back. Masri chairman Kamel Abou-Ali revealed the Reds' negotiations with the 25-year-old, while criticizing their approach to re-sign him. “Ahli are putting enormous pressure on Ahmed and on us as a club,” Abou-Ali told Modern Kora TV. “They want to pay EGP 1.5million claiming it is his minimum fee release clause, but that is untrue because this clause is only applicable next season. “I informed Ahli's marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi that we will only leave Shedid for EGP 5.5million and this is non-negotiable.” Home Meanwhile, Shedid urged his club to allow him make the move to his former club, stressing that Ahli did not force him to leave the Port-Said club. “Ahli are not forcing me to activate the minimum fee release clause. I want to leave Port-Said for family reasons, despite my loyalty to Masri” he said. “Ahli is my home and if I couldn't re-join the club, then I will give my best to Masri.” Ahli's interest in Shedid comes as a surprise knowing that the Reds' current manager Manuel Jose was the one who offloaded the diminutive full-back three seasons ago.
