Mohamed Zidan is unconcerned by the current backup role he is playing at Borussia Dortmund as he hopes to make his season debut against former club Werder Bremen. The Egypt forward was once again an unused sub as Dortmund cemented their position on top of the Bundesliga table with a 2-0 victory at Nurnberg. “I am not worried that I don't play at the moment. I don't want to be hasty with my return,” Zidan, who returned from a six-month layoff last month, told Dortmund's website. “The most important thing is to be ready when I am needed. “I really hope to help Dortmund against my former club (Bremen). Another win would be a major boost for us. “Winning eight straight games away from home is a clear evidence that of our progress.” Zidan, who was a regular for Juergen Klopp's side last term, has yet to make his first league appearance this season, even though Dortmund are currently without first-choice striker Lucas Barrios. The Black Yellows are ten points ahead of second-placed Mainz and a superb 17 above defending champions Bayern Munich.
