France's all-time leading goalscorer Thierry Henry has called time on his international career, following an abysmal World Cup campaign. The 32-year-old, who just joined MLS' New York Red Bulls from Barcelona, announced his decision in a short statement on Thursday. "This is the end for me on the national team," said the Arsenal legend. Henry set the ceiling on a glamorous career, denoted by a World Cup title in 1998 and a European championship two years later. He scored 51 goals in 123 caps for Les Bleus to finish his international career on top of his nation's goalscoring charts. However, the 2010 World Cup was anything but a fine end for the talismanic striker, who was kept on the bench for most of France's dismal campaign.
