Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro has agreed to join Ahli Dubai after the World Cup, the Emirate side announced. Ahli, who are in a restructuring process, issued a statement confirming that the 36-year-old defender agreed a two-year deal with them. Cannavaro is expected to join the UAE Football League side on a free transfer after his contract with Juventus expired this summer. The 2006 World Cup Player of the Tournament is expected to make the move after this summer's finals in South Africa. Ahli, led by new chairman Abdullah Saeed Al-Naboodah, are also believed to be interested in Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.
