Brazilian side Palmeiras are expected to complete Essam Al-Hadari's signing within the next 48 hours, FilGoal.com has learned. Palmeiras tabled an improved $1million bid to acquire the services of the Ismaili keeper on Wednesday after having an initial $500,000-offer rejected by the club's board. Al-Hadari, who made no secret of his desire to move abroad, pleaded with Ismaili to let him depart. "I want to become the first Egyptian player to play in Brazil," the Egypt goalie, who played a key role in helping the Pharaohs win an unprecedented third successive Nations Cup title last month, told FilGoal.com. "I want to have such an experience, which I expect would be great. Football there is very exciting and interesting." Ismaili, who signed Al-Hadari from Swiss side Sion last summer, are highly unlikely to rebuff Palmeiras' latest approach. They agreed in principle to sell the 37-year-old and could reach a final agreement with Palmeiras within the next two days. Al-Hadari sought to leave Ismaili in the January transfer window but the Dervishes turned down two offers for him from Sudanese giants Merreikh and English second-division side Watford. The transfer window in Brazil shuts by the end of March.
