Italian hitman Luca Toni admitted that his appalling spell with Bayern Munich could cost him a place in the Azzurri squad for the 2010 World Cup. Toni, who had a magnificent debut season in Munich when he signed in 2007, has been increasingly disappointing for Bayern since the start of last term. "Here in Germany I have made mistakes, which I regret," the 32-year-old was quoted by Italian media as saying. "These errors will probably cost me the chance to participate in the World Cup in South Africa, but I hope Marcello Lippi still calls on me. "I am not beaten, the desire for football is still strong within me. I'll stop playing once I feel no more emotion - this is not that time." Toni had his fair share of problems with new coach Louis van Gaal and the former Fiorentina ace looks set for a Serie A return. "I don't know yet which team I will play for, but I know for sure that I will be going back to Italy," he added.
