Antonio Valencia struck late to earn Manchester United a 3-3 home draw with CSKA Moscow and a place in the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday. Russia's CSKA took the lead via a goal from Alan Dzagoev after 25 minutes but striker Michael Owen, who was handed a rare starting berth, leveled the score four minutes later. Milos Krasic restored the visitors' advantage on 31 minutes and Vasily Berezutsky made it 3-1 three minutes after the restart as United's makeshift defense was repeatedly exposed. CSKA looked on course to hand United their first Champions League defeat at Old Trafford since February 2005 but a rare header by Paul Scholes narrowed the gap with four minutes remaining. A deflected shot by Ecuadorian winger Valencia in stoppage time denied CSKA a precious victory and gave the Red Devils a spot in the knockout phase. English champions United top Group B with 10 points from four games, three ahead of Germany's Wolfsburg who crushed Turkish side Besiktas 3-0 away from home. CSKA are third on four points while Besiktas remain at the bottom with just one point.
