Ismaili goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi has rejected a new contract from the Dervishes as he opted to consider options available in the winter break. Ismaili said on their official site that a meeting between manager Emad Soliman and director Ihab Galal with Sobhi turned unsuccessful despite the lucrative offer. Sobhi's current contract with Ismaili runs out by the end of the season. The junior Egypt international's decision intensifies speculation linking with a move to Ahli, who are looking for a goalkeeper amid Amir Abdul-Hamid's imminent exit. Sobhi has been playing second-fiddle with the Dervishes since the arrival of veteran Essam Al-Hadari in the summer.
