Ahli boss Hossam Al-Badri revealed that the league holders contemplate signing either Gouna's Sherif Ekrami or Ismaili's Mohamed Sobhi in January. "We are hoping to add a new goalkeeper to our squad. We are currently considering our options, its either Ekrami or Sobhi," Al-Badri told Modern Sport TV. Former Ahli youngster Ekrami is admittedly willing to return to the Red Devils' ranks, despite both parties' failure to agree terms of a transfer in the summer. The 26-year-old's contract with Gouna includes a clause that enables him to leave the coastal club for a fee of EGP 2.5million at the end of the season. Gouna manager Ismail Youssef indicated earlier that he is ready to sell Ekrami if a reasonable offer arrived from Cairo. On the other hand, Ismaili goalie Sobhi has rejected a new contract with the Dervishes on Wednesday, preferring to decide on his future in the winter break. Sobhi, 28, runs out of contract with Ismaili by the end of the ongoing season.
