Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson reckons that Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Old Trafford one day. The Portuguese wizard has sealed a move to Real Madrid this summer for a record fee of £80 million, to put an end to his glittering six-year spell with the Red Devils and become the most expensive player. Ferguson pointed out Ronaldo's commitment to United over the past years, saying the talented winger's attachment to the club might well bring him back. "He may come back, you never know," he told Britain's Press Association in Kuala Lumpur, where the Premiership champions are on a pre-season Asian tour. "Sometimes it happens that way. He loved United. If you look back at the six years he had with us, he never missed training." World Best
Ferguson Ferguson believes Ronaldo is undisputedly the best player in the world, and he has yet to develop his capabilities much further. "His best is yet to come. He's only 24. He came to the right club at the right part of his career," the Scottish tactician said. "He could have gone to Real Madrid, Barcelona or other clubs. But he came to the right one and appreciates that. It was always his intention to make his move. "There's no doubt he's a huge loss and I think it's a challenge for us. It won't be the same without Ronaldo, it can't be. Ferguson is also convinced that Ronaldo is way much better than Barcelona's Lionel Messi and his Real teammate Kaka. "He's the best player in this world by absolutely miles, streets ahead of Lionel Messi, and Kaka," he added.
