Amr Zaki will start rehabilitation for his thigh injury next week, according to Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri. "Amr was supposed to rest for three weeks before starting his rehab, two weeks passed and he should start jogging next week," Al-Monayeri was quoted by Zamalek's official site. Zaki was injured in Egypt's 3-1 defeat in Algeria earlier this month, which forced him to miss his nation's Confederations Cup campaign in South Africa. The 26-year-old should join Zamalek's pre-season training by the start of July, but is expected to move abroad ahead of next season. Zaki, who finished a turbulent spell at Wigan Athletic in May, insisted he will not play in Egypt next term.
