Zamalek new boy Ahmed Tharwat expressed his disappointment at the coaching staff's decision to put him under test after he had penned a contract. The former Rabat midfielder has signed on a free transfer in January before joining the White Knights for pre-season training last week. However, Tharwat revealed that his move was not fully acknowledged and that he is still being treated as an on-trial player. "I signed for Zamalek in January and my contract was approved by the new board. I even received a signing on fee," he told FilGoal.com. "I joined the team's training last Thursday but then I was shocked to learn that the club refuse to register me before watching me play. "Mahmoud Saad (assistant coach) told my agent that I still need to be tested, I wonder how can I be treated like that after I had already signed." Decision Tharwat, who refused to train with the team after Saad's request, told Zamalek that they have to make an immediate decision regarding his future. "I asked Zamalek officials to make a quick decision, either they register me or release me so that I can look for another club," he said. Zamalek were involved in a similar situation last week, when they cancelled the contract of ex-Shams youngster Shawki Al-Saied after he had penned a deal.
