Genoa chairman Enrico Preziosi announced on Friday that his side have officially signed Inter Milan surplus Hernan Crespo. A two-year deal went through after Preziosi sat down with the Argentine forward's agent Fernando Hidalgo and worked out all details. The club president voiced his satisfaction over the new signing, and heaped praise on the 33-year-old. "It's an important signing, we're very happy. Crespo is a great player, a serious lad who we've been following for a long time," said Preziosi. "We have agreed on a two-year contract and that's an important demonstration of confidence in Hernan." Former Chelsea man Crespo, who fell down the pecking order at Inter this season, was also linked up with Fiorentina, but Genoa eventually snapped him up. Crespo spent many years in the Serie A, having played for AC Milan, Lazio and Parma throughout his career.
