Inter Milan chairman Massimo Moratti has been handed a three-month ban from running the club for discussing a transfer deal with suspended Genoa owner Enrico Preziosi. The Italian football federation announced the verdict on Friday night, while extending Preziosi's initial ban to a further six months. Moratti was punished for talking to Preziosi over the transfers of Diego Milito and Thiago Motta, who both joined Inter from Genoa last summer. Despite the sanction, Moratti's position as Inter chief is unlikely to change as he is expected to follow in Preziosi's footsteps and carry on his business, banking on the federation's little authority to limit his activities.
