Sion goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari angrily said that no one can prevent him from playing for Egypt but head coach Hassan Shehata. The veteran guardian was responding to comments from Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi in which he said a decision over Al-Hadari's sudden departure is looming. "The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will announce its decision over the matter in the near future," Al-Qaeyi told Al-Hayat TV on Saturday. "He might be suspended, but if we can do anything for the sake of the Egyptian national team we will not hesitate." Al-Hadari reacted furiously to Al-Qaeyi's words, saying that he doesn't wait for permission from anyone to play for Egypt. "Shehata is the only one who can determine whether I play for Egypt or not. Whatever people say or think, I will retain my place in Egypt's squad," he said in a phone call with Al-Hayat. "Ahli officials are saying nonsense. They spread rumors about alleged suspension and wait for any chance to slaughter me. "I just want people to shut their mouth and stop talking about me."
Al-Hadari: I just want people to shut their mouth and stop talking about me Al-Hadari, who played a pivotal role in helping Egypt claim back-to-back Nations Cup titles, has been at loggerheads with Ahli officials and fans alike since joining Swiss side Sion without the club's approval in February 2008. The Red Devils took the matter to CAS in order to gain compensation, believing that Al-Hadari violated his contract with them. Sion Settlement Al-Hadari revealed that he sorted out his problems with Sion. He suddenly flew to Egypt last week without giving any excuses to his club's officials, and later on voiced his reservations about several aspects. "I don't feel comfortable at Sion, they are facing difficult circumstances and numerous managerial problems have popped up all of a sudden," Al-Hadari told FilGoal.com recently. However, the 36-year-old custodian says everything has been settled. "I will return to Sion after tomorrow," he added without elaborating. Al-Hadari's outburst
