Olympic president Ahmed Al-Sweisi said that Ahli are interested in buying club defender Ateya Al-Belqasi during the ongoing transfer window. “A number of intermediate agents contacted the club about the possibility of luring Al-Belqasi to Ahli,” Al-Sweisi told FilGoal.com. From his side, the 25-year-old player said that he'd be honoured with a move to Ahli, adding that is yet to receive any contact from the Red Devils' officials. “Any player would love to join Ahli, and I hope I can seal the move in the near future,” Al-Belqasi said. The centre-back kicked off his career at Ghazl Domiat before playing for Baladeya and Olympic. No comment From his side, Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi refused to comment on Olympic president's statements. “Ahli are undergoing negotiations to add a number of players in January, but I will not reveal any names until talks become official,” Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com. The Cairo giants are keen on adding new faces to their aging back line, especially on the background of Emad Al-Nahhas long term injury.
