Gomhoureya Shebin president Abdul-Monem Shiha said that Ahli chief Hassan Hamdi asked him about the possibility of bringing defender Ahmed Adel to the Red Devils. "Hamdi called me and told me of Ahli's desire to buy Adel, after the player impressed for Shebin in the second division," Shiha told FilGoal.com. Shiha stressed that the Adel's superb displays already caught the interest of several Premier league clubs, including Zamalek, Ismaili, Petrojet and ENPPI. Adel is a multifunctional player, who's steady at defense, can play as a defensive midfielder, and has also featured for Shebin as a striker earlier in the season. Ahli have been looking for a sweeper since Emad Al-Nahhas' injuries kept him consistently out of the game over the last ten months. Adel has earlier announced that Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi approached Shebin coach Khamis Dwedar about signing the player.
