The Egyptian FA consider postponing the local Super Cup between Ahli and Zamalek, which is scheduled for the 27th of July, Samir Zaher said on Wednesday. FA president Zaher said the Association's board will hold a meeting on Thursday, during which they will decide whether to delay the anticipated encounter. "The current hostile atmosphere in Egyptian football may force us to postpone the Super Cup," Zaher told Dream TV. "There is no room for two Cairo derbies within one week. The tensions will probably flare." Ahli will face arch-rivals Zamalek in the CAF Champions League group stage opener on Sunday. Both sides were busy in the transfer market, confronting each other over the signing of several players. The transfer duels have increased the traditional rivalry between the Cairo clubs. Ahli fans accused Zamalek of trying to snatch players from under their noses, and vice versa.
