Egypt have slipped down one spot to lie 24th in the monthly FIFA Ranking of national teams, while European champions Spain reached the summit. African champions Egypt registered three wins over DR Congo, Djibouti and Malawi during the month of June, but shockingly lost to the latter away. Spain's EURO 2008 victory sent them top at the expense of 2006 World Cup winners Italy, while European runners-up Germany lied third. Brazil slipped two places to occupy fourth place, following some poor results last month, which included defeats to Venezuela and Praguay.
