Czech Republic manager Karel Bruckner praised his team's display but admitted that it wasn't enough to get anything against a strong and talented Portugal team. “I thought we played very well for long periods but were beaten by a very talented side on top of their game,” said the Czech boss. Portugal were held to a 1-1 draw until the 63rd minute and then Cristiano Ronaldo played some of his magic to score a goal and create another earning his side a stylish 3-1 win. “The way they build from defence to attack is amazing. I would like to congratulate Portugal on their display and their win - they played very well. But I can promise we still have a third match and we will be ready for that,” added Bruckner. Czech have a decider against Turkey next Sunday to clinch the second qualifying ticket to the next stage behind leaders Portugal.
