EURO 2008 Preview: Switzerland vs. Turkey
Published in FilGoal on 11 - 06 - 2008

Co-hosts Switzerland have one last chance to save their EURO 2008 campaign when they entertain Turkey at St. Jakob Park.
Swiss coach Jakob Kuhn is aware that his side have no option but to win, while Fatih Terim seemed optimistic that Turkey could get over their opener defeat.
However, both managers will be without their influential captains Alexander Frei and Emre Belozoglu, who will miss the game with injuries.
Head-to-head:
Switzerland win: 4
Turkey win: 7
Draw: 3
Switzerland
"You never consider the possibility of a defeat, that is obvious, but we are clearly aware that a defeat would mean that our tournament would consist of just one more match against Portugal and nothing else," said Kuhn.
"That's why we want to win, This is a young team with a future, and that is obvious as well."

Altintop and Nihat to lead the Turks
Team News: Switzerland's all-time leading goalscorer Frei will play no part in the tournament anymore, following a knee ligament injury he sustained against Czech Republic.
Marco Streller will be handed the task of finding the net as he is expected to shrug off a groin injury.
Probable Line-up: Benaglio- Magnin, Lichtsteiner, Senderos, Muller- Inler, Gelson, Barnetta, Behrami- Yakin, Streller.
Turkey
"Turkey teams have lost their first match in the past and gone through so there is no reason why we cannot do it again," Terim said.
"It seems the European Championship will have to start for us with the Switzerland game."
Team News: Emre tore a hamstring against Portugal, and his chances to play again in the tournament are at jeopardy.
Defense duo Gokhan Zan and Servet Cetin are doubtful with knee injuries, but the latter is more likely to play.
Probable Line-up: Volkan- Gungor, Balta, Cetin, Asik- Altintop, Aurelio, Kazim, Sarioglu- Tuncay, Nihat.
