Fathi to undergo surgery in Portugal

Ahmed Fathi is set to undergo surgery on his ruptured Achilles tendon in Portugal, Ahli said on Tuesday.
The Egypt midfielder injured himself in the dying moments of Monday's 0-0 draw at Baladeya, which handed Ahli a fourth straight league title.
Reds boss Manuel Jose made sure everything is alright for Fathi before the latter's European trip.
"This is destiny, I could do nothing about it, and thank God for everything," said the 24-year-old.
"I want to thank the board and the coach for facilitating the procedures of my journey to Portugal.
"The coach talked to me and raised my morale by telling me that I will be back soon."
Jose's team faced a similar blow in 2006, when they missed the services of Angolan winger Gilberto for nearly two seasons with an Achilles injury.
