Ahli's international midfielder Ahmed Fathi has been ruled out for at least six months with an Achilles tendon injury. The 24-year old player had to pull out of the game in the 82nd minute following a harsh tackle from a Baladeya player. "Scans proved that Fathi injured the Achilles tendon of his left leg," Doctor Osama Mostafa told the club's website. The former Ismaili player is set to travel to Germany or Portugal to undergo a surgery in the next couple of days. Fathi's injury adds to Ahli's woes as Emad Al-Nahhas, Islam Al-Shater and keeper Amir Abdul-Hamid have recently sustained injuries.
