Derby county manager Paul Jewell confirmed that Hossam Ghaly is very close to joining the team but they are still waiting for his work permit. "We are in serious talks with the player and he will be with us as soon as he would be granted a work permit," Jewell told Skysports.com. Ghaly's work permit has expired as he has left England six months ago and so he applied for a new one. That shouldn't be a problem as he maintains the 75% quota of participations with Egypt. Derby are laying down at the bottom of the Premier League standings and they need a miracle to survive among the elites.
