Wael Gomaa returned to action after recovering from injury to help Al-Sailiya register a 2-0 away victory over Al-Rayyan and climb to third place in the Qatari League. Abdoulaye Cisse, a striker from Burkina Faso, gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes. Midfielder Wahid Mohamed sealed the victory one minute past the hour mark as Al-Sailiya continued their impressive run of results. Egyptian defender Gomaa, who is on loan from Cairo giants Ahli, participated in the game after recovering from a muscle strain and put in a solid display. Al-Sailiya, who won five times in their last six matches, became third in the league table with 16 points, six behind second-placed Al-Sadd.
