Inter Milan maintained their position on top of the Serie A following a 2-1 victory over Atalanta, while Roma kept up the pace with a last-gasp 1-0 win against Genoa. At San Siro, Honduran striker David Suazo opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Argentinean frontman Julio Cruz doubled the advantage in the 75th minute. Sergio Floccari narrowed the gap with a splendid volley six minutes before the break. Elsewhere, Christian Panucci's last-gasp header earned AS Roma a precious victory over Genoa. With one minute left, the Italy full-back connected with David Pizarro's free-kick at the far post to head home and secure a hard-fought win. Inter are on top of the league table with 28 points, three ahead of second-placed Roma.
