Masri board of directors has turned down Ittihad's offer for striker Saied Rabie, although the team's coach Helmi Toulan approved the transfer. Toulan has agreed to let Rabie move on, claiming that he is surplus to requirements at the Port Said club. However, the club's board refused to let go of him despite Ittihad declaration on Wednesday that Rabie will join the Alexandria-based club for EGP 200,000. Toulan, who took over at Masri after the sacking of Tarek Soliman, put a six-man list that includes the players he doesn't want next season. Mohamed Gouda, Youssef Abdul-Rahman, Mohamed Fahim, Gamal Gad, Mohamed Salah Al-Deen and Amr Al-Dessouki are all set to be released, although some of them have just arrived at Masri. Meanwhile, Ahli duo Akwetey Mensah and Ahmed Galal have completed their moves to Masri after failing to establish themselves as regulars in the Cairo giants' squad.
