Ahli goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari decided that he will not undergo surgery to repair a fractured bone in his face, following the injury he suffered recently. Al-Hadari collided with an Esperance player late in Ahli's 3-0 Champions League victory over the Tunisians on Friday but was able to play for the remaining few minutes. The Egypt number one was set for a facial surgery on Monday, but doctors informed him that the surgery is optional and that he needs to rest for one week. "I consulted a number of experts and they told me that the surgery is unnecessary but I will need to rest for now," the 33-year-old told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. Al-Hadari is expected to resume full training in one week time and could be ready for Ahli's return game at Esperance.
