Zamalek has officially announced the signing of Masri defender Karim Zekri on a four-year-deal worth 3,5 million pound. "The contracts were signed today in (Masri president) Sayed Metwali's office in presence of Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas," the whites board member Ahmed Tawfik Hafez said. Masri received a down payment of 1,5 million pound and the rest of the sum will be paid on 5 other payments. The 23-year-old defender became Zamalek's first recruit for the new season. On the other hand, Asyut Petroleum striker Mohamed Ibrahim has confirmed to FilGoal.com that he is very close to signing a five-year-deal with Zamalek worth 2,5 million pound. Tawfik confirmed the news but said that there are no official talks yet. Ibrahim, on-loan from Enppi, was very impressive in the past few months, the form which earned him a first ever call up to the National side. In their attempt to reinforce their defense, Zamalek showed their interest in Baladiya defender Mohamed Naguib. Baladiya Chairman Mahmoud Al-Shami revealed that he'll allow Naguib to leave in exchange of some Zamalek players.
