Masri Chairman Sayed Metwali quits his post on Monday night but he is submitted to a lot of pressure from the board and the governor of Port Said to stay put. Metwali announced his decision during the board meeting due to medical and psychological reasons. The members tried to make him pull back but he insisted on his resignation. Governor Mostafa Kamal had to intervene and invited him to a meeting late at night but nothing had been decided at the end of the day. “He didn't retrieve it, he said he needs time to think. He traveled to Albania to follow up his business there and he'll give us a final decision at his return,” said Ahmed Faragallah the club's vice president. On the other hand the board approved the transfer of Captain Karim Zekri to Masri for a 3,5 million pound fee to Zamalek. Zamalek had first offered 2,5 million pound and a player exchange but it has been declined as the Masri need money to help them get out of their critical financial position.
