The Kuwaiti Football Association (KFA) has turned down Egypt's request to postpone the friendly game that was scheduled for the 16th of April. Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president Samir Zaher contacted his Kuwaiti counterpart in order to re-schedule the match but his attempts weren't successful, EFA spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com. Egypt's demand came after the EFA found out that none of the regular players will be able to take part in the match for different reasons. Zamalek take on Jordan's Faisali in the return-leg of the Arab Champions League (ACL) semi-finals on April 17th while European-based players will definitely miss because the match's date does not match FIFA's international calendar. Ahli boss Manuel Jose warned his players of participating in the unneeded friendly because they will face ENPPI in the Egyptian League on April 14th, Sundowns in the CAF Champions League on April 20th and Barcelona in a friendly four days later. Shalabi said the EFA will make another effort to convince the KFA of delaying the match although the latter insisted they will demand the $100,000 penalty clause in case the match doesn't take place as previously scheduled.
