Real Madrid revived their hopes of catching up with leaders Barcelona after grabbing a 2-0 home victory over Osasuna in the Primera Liga on Sunday. Skipper Raul put Los Meringues in front in the 24th minute with a neat finish after Emerson headed Mahamadou Diarra's long ball into his path. Brazilian winger Robinho, who put in an impressive display throughout the match, doubled the lead nine minutes from time after some good work with Gonzalo Higuain. Robinho went past two defenders and fed Higuain in the right-flank before the Argentinean's cross was palmed by Osasuna keeper into the path of the former Santos man, who made no mistake in wrapping up the win. Earlier on Sunday, Sevilla wasted the chance to leapfrog Barcelona to the league's summit after they were held to a goalless home draw by Racing Santander. Barcelona are in charge of the table with 56 points, just one ahead of second-placed Sevilla and two above Real Madrid.
