Saudi Arabian champions Al-Shabab are close in on the signing of Egypt and PAOK defender Amir Azmi, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported on Tuesday. Azmi will undergo a trial with Al-Shabab in the upcoming period before signing the deal that will see him replace Senegalese defender Ousmane Ndoye, who failed to impress since his arrival in the off-season, Al-Riyadh added. Iraqi midfielder Nashaat Akram, Ghanaian striker Godwin Attram and Ndoye are the three foreigners included in Al-Shabab's squad. The 22-year-old Azmi did not take part in PAOK's recent Greek League matches and could be available for a move to the Gulf.
