Al-Shabab fans are wondering why Egyptian defender Amir Azmi is not playing on a regular basis since his arrival from PAOK Saloniki in January, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported on Friday. The fans were anxious to see Azmi plays in the heart of the Saudi champions' defense in order to form a solid backline. Al-Shabab's flimsy defense this season cost them their place in the Saudi Cup and they also slipped to fourth place in the league table. Al-Riyadh added that Keeping Azmi on the bench or fielding him for a few minutes in an unfamiliar defensive midfielder position put Al-Shabab board in a difficult position as they exerted a lot of efforts to sign him.
