Libya's leader son and Juventus shareholder Saadi Al-Gheddafi has said he wants to increase his stake the recently relegated club. "We have the intention of making an important investment in the Bianconeri club," he said as reported by Corriere dello Sport newspaper. Al-Gheddafi already has ownership through a business interest of seven percent of the club. Yet, he wants to put more money into Juventus, planning to make his investment second only to the Agnellis. "We want to become the biggest shareholder in the outfit behind the Agnelli family of course, who remain the historic pillars of Juve," he said. "We just want to become the principal partners in Juventus after them." The Agnelli family currently holds the controlling share of Juventus, but the side has struggled financially since its demotion to Serie B over the summer and the FIAT owners have done little to ease the fall. While Juventus has kept their biggest sponsors, Tamoli and Nike, the prospect of the Libyan midfielder's investment may be the boost they need. "We haven't studied our options in great detail up until this point, but we have the firm intention of increasing our shares," he said. "We just don't know when." Al-Gheddafi has also claimed he will return to Serie A as a player in the near future, with rumors that Sampdoria chief Riccardo Garrone has offered him a place in his squad.
